Cesine reports

Cesine was one of the pioneer university centres in Spain to incorporate into the European Space of Higher Education, ESHE, with 4-year degrees. In agreement with the 46 European countries, Spain included, that ratified the Bologna Process, 2010 is the deadline where every European university and higher education institution will have had to have adapted their educational systems to the new scenario set by the ESHE. This means that the current 3 and 5 year degrees will disappear.

-So, for years Cesine has been developing its adaptation. It has been effective for several courses. Among other aspects, the new common space establishes 4-year degrees and 240 ECTS credits, European Credit Transfer System, that facilitates the recognition of studies among countries. Each credit means 25 to 30 hours of lecture and practical training, witbh a possible maximum of 60 credits per year.

-The 240 credit degree programmes allows for accessing the job market through easily recognizable university degrees throughout Europe.

Also to consider is that the Cesine University Centre has implemented an innovative and interactive methodology, that sets up a formation that evolves around the student, with a more active student participation in their educational process.

Cesine has also gotten a head start concerning the ESHE criteria concerning the obligation to learn a second language, so Cesine also offers its students an international option that allows them to spend a semester in prestigious American and European universities, as well as carry out practical work placement in firms.
