"The key is to form competent and versatile professionals that are capable of integrating themselves into a changing job market"

Cesine students have a very important added value when compared to traditional university students in that they have undergone the pioneer programme that the Centre has been applying in Spain that allows for the development of skills and competence in order for all of its students in every programme, not only the business programme, to be fully capable of integration into the job market.

Business reality shows that companies are demanding more and more skills in recent graduates that are not received in traditional universities. Cesine graduates are professionals with the capacity to fully integrate into the job market and in fact the graduate-placement figure reaches top percentages. The key is in forming competent and versatile professionals that are capable of integrating into a changing job market, and in being able to be fluent in public communication. At the same time Cesine strengthens a number of aspects such as motivation, empathy, leadership, teamwork, project management and task priorities. Besides the graduates have accredited practical experience gained in firms of up to 2,500 hours. Fluency in English as well as broad IT knowledge. All of these are essential aspects that make our students more competitive and to be able to enter the job market immediately, even 30% do so before finishing their studies.

How much do you value skills and abilities in a selection process? Are they decisive in the selection of a candidate?

Of course in every selection process a candidate´s skills and abilities are a key factor when taking a decision. When we analyse a candidate´s profile we distinguish on one hand all the competence of the degree itself, knowledge of languages and office automation, previous work experience..., as well as competence in initiative, motivation, teamwork, know how to speak in public, leadership, etc.

In many posts it is essential for the candidates to accredit a certain labour experience besides of course the aforementioned skills and abilities.
