Multidisciplinary projects

Independent from the End-of-Studies Project, where each student develops his or her project in a firm and that the project adapts to that firm’s needs, this annual multidisciplinary assignment is meant for students to apply all the knowledge related to R+I+i acquired throughout their studies, moulding it all into a single assignment carried out in teams. They will apply knowledge from industrial design, graphic or multimedia designs in the areas of materials, processes, ergonomics, ecology, graphic expression, scale modelling, animation etc. Design work has required the use of those 3D tools such as Autocad, Inventor, Proengineer or 3D Studio as well as Freehand, Photoshop or In-design. Not to forget workshop work such as scale modelling and prototyping with CAD/CAM.

The projects that have been researched or developed are related to the application of solar energy; teams, systems, services, their construction or repair, use, etc. To sum up we can say that their relation is in the broadest sense of the word. The students have worked in selecting the product to be developed, the materials to be used, the selection of the processes when working with these materials, packaging design, instruction manual or user document, the ergonomic and environmental aspects as well as the product marketing campaign.
